Pero Gotovac was a Croatian composer, conductor, and music producer born in Zagreb on February 12, 1927. After graduating from the music academy, he worked as an editor and producer for the record label Jugoton. From 1973 until 1996, he held the position of conductor at the Zagreb City Theatre Komedija. He received numerous accolades for his work and was a long-time member of the Croatian Music Union and the Croatian Society of Composers, where he served in various leadership roles including president and vice-president.
