Peter Förster was a German acting pedagogue and director known for his impactful work in theater education. He graduated from the former Theaterhochschule Leipzig in 1965 and later became a professor and director there. He led the Theaterhochschule from 1975 and served as the artistic director of the Landestheater Halle between 1988 and 1990. Förster also directed performances both nationally and internationally. After this, he focused on pedagogy at a social pediatric institute in Hamburg. He passed away in 2018.
