Ismail Hasan Isa Abu Jabr, known as Haj Ismail and Ismail Jabr, is a Palestinian military leader born on February 12, 1943, in Deir al-Balah, Gaza. He was a commander of the joint forces in southern Lebanon during the 1982 Lebanon War. He served as the commander of the Palestinian National Security Forces in the West Bank from 1994 to 2005. Currently, he holds the position of assistant to the supreme commander of security forces and is an advisor to the Palestinian president on provincial affairs, also being a member of the Fatah Central Committee since 2016.
