Davud Ordubadlı was an Azerbaijani Soviet poet born on March 20, 1930, in Ordubad, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. He was a member of the Union of Soviet Writers and, after the dissolution of the USSR, became a member of the Union of Writers of Azerbaijan. He was recognized as a prominent cultural figure in Azerbaijan on September 24, 1990. Ordubadlı passed away on February 6, 2011, in Baku, leaving behind a significant legacy in Azerbaijani poetry.
