Øistein Røed (1921–1977) was a Norwegian mountaineer, author, filmmaker, and businessman. He founded Øistein Røed Tekniske Agenturer in 1947 and led two major climbing expeditions to East Greenland in the early 1950s, documenting them on film. He authored a book titled 'Respekt for fjellet' in 1956 and transitioned his company into a limited liability company in 1972. Despite health issues, he managed his business until his passing, which his son Henning took over shortly thereafter.
