Asya Agasou Varosyan was an Armenian tar player born on February 3, 1926, in Leninakan, Armenian SSR, USSR. She was recognized as a заслуженный артист of the RSFSR in 1977 and became a professor in 1985. Varosyan had a significant impact on the musical culture of Armenia and was known for her contributions to traditional Armenian music until her passing on September 14, 2019.
