Petr Ivanovich Kitasty, born on April 28, 1928, in Mikhailovka, Poltava Oblast, is an American musician of Ukrainian descent. He is a bandurist and deputy conductor of the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus named after T.H. Shevchenko in the USA. He is also the father of Yulian Kitasty. His contributions to music have helped preserve Ukrainian folk traditions in America.
