Vasil Manov Petkov is a Bulgarian economist born in the village of Dolno Selo, Kyustendil Province. He commenced his career as an economist in 1966 at Arsenal factory in Kazanlak and began his scientific career in 1969 as a researcher. Since 1974, he has been engaged in teaching at the University of National and World Economy, where he also served as the vice-rector for research. He specializes in strategic planning, and has lectured on various economic courses, leading the Department of Marketing and Strategic Planning at U.N.S.S.
