Galina Petrovna Shostko was a Soviet theater and film actress, born on January 10, 1911, in Perm, Russian Empire. She began her career as a ballerina but transitioned to acting after an operation. Shostko worked at the Moscow Art Theatre from 1934 to 1982, earning the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR in 1969. She appeared in numerous stage productions and films, including adaptations of 'Anna Karenina' and 'War and Peace'. Shostko passed away on January 21, 1997, in Moscow, and is buried at the Vostrjakovskoye Cemetery.
