Асқарбек Қабыкенұлы Құсайынов (1951) is a prominent Kazakh scholar and educator, holding a doctorate in pedagogical sciences since 1997 and a professor since 1998. He pioneered comparative pedagogy and textbook quality monitoring in Kazakhstan. He studied in Germany and defended his dissertation in German. His career includes key roles in the Ministry of Education and various educational institutions. He has published numerous works on pedagogy and terminology and was a laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2001. As of 2004, he is the president of the National Academy of Pedagogy of Kazakhstan.
