Әшім Құрамбайұлы Омаров is a Kazakh metallurgist born on May 13, 1929, in the village of Kyzylasker, Tolebi District of Turkistan Region. He earned a Doctor of Technology in 1978 and became a professor in 1971. In 2003, he was elected as an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan. He was also honored as a notable scientist of Kazakhstan in 1991, recognizing his contributions to the field of metallurgy and technology.
