박희광 (1901-1970) was a notable Korean independence activist and armed resistance leader during the Japanese occupation of Korea. Active in Manchuria's Mu-sun and Bong-chun areas as part of the 통의부, he participated in assassination missions against pro-Japanese figures. Arrested in 1924, he was sentenced to death, later commuted to life imprisonment, and ultimately served 18 years before being released in 1943. His contributions to the independence movement were recognized posthumously, and he was awarded the Order of Merit for National Foundation in 1968.
