Abram Moiseevich Lyass (January 23, 1911 – 1976) was a Soviet metallurgist and one of the founders of the science of molding materials. Born in Łódź, Poland, he moved to Moscow in 1914. A candidate of technical sciences in 1947 and a doctor of technical sciences in 1961, he received the Lenin Prize in 1967. He authored 20 inventions and 40 patents, significantly contributing to the field of molding materials and steel casting technology.
