Grigor Mesropi Grigoryan was an Armenian historian, archaeologist, and epigrapher born on March 2, 1930, in Vladikavkaz, North Caucasus, RSFSR, USSR. He achieved the title of Doctor of Historical Sciences in 1985 and became a professor in 1989. His contributions to historical studies and archaeology have been significant in Armenia's academic landscape. Grigoryan passed away on October 14, 2018.
