Yuriy Georgiyovych Kryvonos (April 12, 1939 – February 12, 2017) was a prominent Ukrainian academic and researcher recognized for his contributions to physics and mathematics. He was a full member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, earning his Ph.D. in physical and mathematical sciences. Kryvonos received numerous awards, including the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR in science and technology (1988) and several prestigious awards from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He served as the Deputy Director for Scientific Work at the V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics from 1996 until his death.
