姚宗鑑 (Yao Zongjian), also known as 若望 (John), was a Taiwanese Catholic priest and educator born on January 24, 1918, in Zhejiang, China. He earned a doctorate in philosophy from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas and received an honorary doctorate in law from Fu Jen Catholic University. As the founder of Keelung Catholic Primary School, he served as the president of Keelung Hospital and a teacher in philosophy at Fu Jen Catholic University. He also held the position of auxiliary bishop in the Taipei Archdiocese and played a key role in establishing the Fu Jen Medical School.
