Alexander Vladimirovich Chernov (born January 7, 1951) is a Ukrainian Russian-speaking poet, prose writer, and journalist. Born in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and residing in Kyiv since 1955, Chernov pursued education in engineering and pedagogy. He served in the Soviet Army and has worked in various professions, including as a journalist and editor. Active since 1974, he is linked to the metarealism literary movement and has published five poetry collections and a co-authored book of fantastic prose. His works have been translated into German, English, and French.
