Yakov Porfiryevich Solsky (February 7, 1923 – December 6, 2009) was a renowned Ukrainian and Soviet scientist, an obstetrician-gynecologist, and a healthcare organizer. He earned his Doctor of Medical Sciences in 1968 and became a professor in 1980. Solsky was also recognized as a Distinguished Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine in 1997 and became an academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in 1995. Additionally, he was an honorary professor at Vinnitsa National Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov and a lifetime state scholarship recipient in Ukraine.
