Ramiz Əhmədov was an Azerbaijani journalist and politician, born on March 6, 1939, in Zizik, Quba district. He served as the first chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Azerbaijan Communist Party and was a deputy in the first convocation of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan. Additionally, he held the position of head of the Executive Authority of Yevlakh District and was the first secretary of party organizations in Kirovabad (Ganja) district and Qutqaşen district. He also worked as the editor-in-chief of the 'Kommunist' newspaper.
