Doron Maisel (February 12, 1945 - November 28, 1991) was an Israeli armored corps officer, doctor, and commander of the military medical school. He was the first senior officer in the Israel Defense Forces permitted to continue serving despite being homosexual. After his death from cancer, the Ministry of Defense recognized his partner, Adir Steiner, as a widower of a soldier who died during service, granting him related rights.
