Rainer Danzinger was an Austrian psychoanalyst, group psychoanalyst, psychiatrist, and university lecturer. Born on May 18, 1943, in Salzburg and passing away on January 9, 2023, in Vienna, he served as the chairman of the Vienna Working Group for Psychoanalysis. From 1996 to 2008, he was the medical director and senior physician at the former State Neuropsychiatric Clinic Sigmund Freud, now known as LKH Graz II, South Campus. He also worked as a training analyst and supervisor in Vienna and Graz.
