Ralph G. Neas (born May 17, 1946) is an American civil rights activist known for his leadership in protecting civil rights laws during the Reagan and Bush administrations. He chairs a coalition that helped defeat Robert Bork's Supreme Court nomination. Neas has held various leadership roles, including executive director of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights and CEO of People For the American Way and its Foundation. He worked as a chief legislative assistant to Republican Senators Edward Brooke and David Durenberger and was a Republican until 1996.
