Rashed Khan Menon is a prominent leftist political leader in Bangladesh, born on May 18, 1943. He was first elected as a parliamentary member in the 1979 national elections. Menon currently serves as the elected president of Bangladesh's Workers Party. He held the position of Minister of Posts and Telecommunications in the all-party cabinet formed for the January 5, 2014 elections and was re-elected as a member of parliament from Dhaka, subsequently overseeing the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. He has been re-elected in the 2018 and 2024 national elections.
