Richard James Boyages, born on March 15, 1962, is the Associate Commissioner for Men's Basketball at the Big Ten Conference. He oversees the men's basketball tournament and officiating program. Boyages was head coach at William & Mary and commissioner of the Mid-American Conference. He began coaching at Bates College, becoming its youngest head coach at age 24. A Bowdoin College graduate and former basketball team captain, he also holds a master's degree from Boston University.
