Richard 'Rip' Rapson is an American attorney and philanthropist, born on March 16, 1952. He currently serves as the CEO of the Kresge Foundation. Rapson started his career as a congressional aide before practicing law and serving on several boards. He was Deputy Mayor of Minneapolis and later ran for mayor. After his political career, he became a fellow at the University of Minnesota, then president of the McKnight Foundation, and eventually moved to Detroit to lead the Kresge Foundation, focusing on revitalizing the city.
