Robert Farren was an Irish poet born on April 24, 1909, in County Dublin, Ireland. He worked as a school teacher and served as the director of broadcasting at Raidió Teilifís Éireann. Farren gained recognition for his 1948 critical work, The Course of Irish Verse in English, which received much acclaim. Notably, five of his poems were included in The Oxford Book of Irish Verse, a significant anthology edited by Donagh MacDonagh and Lennox Robinson, published in 1958. He passed away on December 29, 1984.
