José Rogério Salles, born on June 18, 1953, is a Brazilian politician who served as the governor of Mato Grosso from 2002 to 2003 after Dante de Oliveira's resignation. He was vice-governor from 1999 to 2002 and mayor of Rondonópolis from 1994 to 1996. A member of the Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB), Salles studied at the Federal University of Paraná and specialized at the University of São Paulo. He was an activist against military dictatorship during his studies and served as secretary of Agriculture in Rondonópolis.
