She represented Brazil at youth and senior levels, achieving commendable success including being a vice-champion in the South American Youth Championship in 1976 in Bolivia and again in 1980 in Chile. Additionally, she reached the semifinals of the 1977 World Championship in Brazil and was a vice-champion in the senior South American Championship in 1977 in Peru.
