Ryō Kinoshita (born February 28, 1931) is a film director from Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. He moved to Dalian due to his father's job as a banker and later returned to Japan. Kinoshita joined Toho as an assistant director in 1956. He became a director in 1964 with the film 'Otoko Kirai.' Kinoshita directed many television dramas, including 'Taiyō ni Hoero!' where he helmed 57 episodes. He is known for his proficiency in comedy, being a disciple of the late Yuuzou Kawashima, and has directed various genres, including action.
