Seppo Kalevi Sarelius was a Finnish commodore, born on March 22, 1943, in Karjala. He served as the captain of the minelayer Pohjanmaa from 1986 to 1987, commanded the Coastal Fleet from 1989 to 1992, and led the Archipelago Sea Defence Area from 1993 to 1997. After retiring, he was the CEO of Forum Marinum from 1999 to 2008. He passed away on March 17, 2016, in Turku.
