Shiv Kumar Shastri (1915-1989) was a prominent Indian politician, social reformer, and Vedic Scholar. Born on October 15, 1915, in Arya Nagar, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, he belonged to the Sisodia Rajput community. He served as a member of the Lok Sabha, winning the elections in 1967 and 1971. Initially an independent candidate, he later joined the Bhartiya Kranti Dal, leading to his election as the only successful candidate from the party in 1971. His contribution to Indian politics and society is well-remembered.
