Shukri Mustafa Ahmed Abdul Aal (June 1, 1942 - 1978) was an Egyptian political figure and the founder of the Takfir wal-Hijra group. He was born in Abu Khars, Egypt, and initially sympathized with the Muslim Brotherhood. After being tortured in prison during the 1960s, he developed radical views, rejecting the secular government and advocating for the expulsion from society of non-believers. His ideas gained traction among Muslim Brotherhood prisoners, leading to the establishment of a group that executed high-profile kidnappings, notably the abduction and murder of Minister Muhammad Hussein Dhahabi.
