Silvino Argüelles Menéndez (February 5, 1919 – March 3, 1986) was a notable Asturian tonada singer. He began performing at 15 and later combined singing with acting. After the Spanish Civil War, he worked as a miner but continued singing, mixing Asturian songs with flamenco. He participated in numerous competitions across Asturias during the 1960s, known for his baritone voice. He represented Asturias at the Celta Festival in Berlin and sang for Asturian emigrants in Geneva. His legacy continues with the 'Silvino Argüelles' Memorial in Mieres, celebrating Asturian tonada.
