Stanislav Procházka was a Czech general who opposed the 1968 Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia. Born on April 13, 1922, in Medzilaborce, he graduated from the Soviet Military Academy and served as commander of the Western Military District in Příbram from 1964. He publicly refused the invasion in a letter to the occupying forces, which led to his dismissal on December 20, 1968, and eventual discharge from the army in April 1970. He was awarded honorary citizenship of Mladá Boleslav on October 28, 2008.
