Stepas Zobarskas was a Lithuanian writer, translator, and publisher, born on January 30, 1911, and passed away on June 9, 1984. He was one of the most popular children's and youth writers in interwar Lithuania. His works include children's stories and psychological novellas. Zobarskas studied in Paris and later published translations of Lithuanian authors into English. After WWII, he lived in the USA, founded the Manylands publishing house, and edited a children's magazine. He was buried in New York, next to his family.
