Stig Holmås is a Norwegian librarian, poet, novelist, and children's writer, born in Bergen on February 25, 1946. He debuted in literature with the anthology 'Åtte fra Bergen' in 1969. His poetry includes notable collections such as 'Vi er mange' (1970) and 'Tenke på i morgen' (1972). He has penned novels like 'O.K. Corral' (1991) and 'Regn' (2008). Holmås has also created two children's book series focusing on the Indigenous peoples of the Americas. He is the father of Heikki Holmås.
