Suryakant Acharya was an Indian politician affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party. He served as a member of the Rajya Sabha representing Gujarat from 2005 to 2011. Additionally, Acharya held the position of Vice Chairman of the State Planning Commission of Gujarat from June 1998 until January 2003. He was married to Hemaben Acharya, who served as the Minister of Health in the Gujarat government from 1975 to 1980. Acharya was born on December 9, 1929, and he passed away on December 21, 2009.
