Lin Tai-yi was a Chinese-American writer and translator, notable for her literary contributions and editorial role at the Hong Kong Reader's Digest. Lin taught Chinese at Yale and published her first novel, War Tide, at age 17. The daughter of renowned writer Lin Yutang and sister to fellow writer Adet Lin, she translated important works, including Girl Rebel, the autobiography of Xie Bingying.
