Teodoro Kantor was an Argentine writer and journalist born on February 28, 1920, in Buenos Aires. He was an active anti-fascist Jewish leftist during his youth and faced imprisonment during the Infamous Decade in the 1930s. In the 1950s, he was tortured by police due to his affiliation with the Communist Youth Federation. A prolific writer, he published numerous articles, stories, essays, and two short story collections. He was known for his insightful analysis of Argentine politics and history, remaining active in journalism and culture throughout his life until his death on June 12, 2011.
