Theodore Brown Rasmussen was a Canadian neurologist and neurosurgeon known for his pioneering work in epilepsy surgery. He served as Chairman of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University from 1954 to 1960 and later directed the Montreal Neurological Institute from 1960 to 1972. Notably, he published the famous 'Homunculi' with Wilder Penfield, representing the somatosensory and motor cortex. In 1958, he co-described Rasmussen's encephalitis. Rasmussen was also the president of the American Epilepsy Society from 1961 to 1962.
