His band Gaz's 1978 Disco-funk track 'Sing Sing' became a sought-after sample, influencing tracks by stars like Drake and Dua Lipa, and forming a core element of the Baltimore Club genre. Baldursson's musical journey began in Keflavík, and he had early success with the band Savanna Tríó.
