Thuravoor Viswambharan was a Sanskrit scholar, social worker, and writer from Kerala, India. He excelled as a professor in Malayalam, Sanskrit, Indian Mythology, and Vedic Science at Maharaja's College. An expert on Hindu epics, he hosted the TV show 'Bharatha Darshanam' for over 3000 episodes. He was the state president of Tapasya Kala Sahithya Vedi and founded Vishwa Samvad Kendra Kerala. Though he contested the 2016 state assembly elections as a BJP candidate unsuccessfully, he remained influential until his passing due to cancer on 20 October 2017.
