Treania Helen Lindsay Smith (1901-1990) was an Australian gallerist and painter, known for her influential role in the contemporary art scene of Sydney. She was born in Clayfield, Brisbane, and studied at various art institutions, including the Edinburgh College of Art. In the 1930s, she returned to Australia, exhibiting extensively and eventually co-creating the Macquarie Galleries in Sydney, which showcased prominent artists. She was awarded the British Empire Medal in 1979 and continued her artistic involvement until her retirement. Smith passed away in 1990 in Bayview, Sydney.
