Trond Markussen is a Norwegian electronics engineer born on December 28, 1962, in Harstad and raised in Sortland. He has served as the leader of the Norwegian Engineers' Organization (NITO) since 2012, having been re-elected in 2021. Markussen has worked with Tandberg Data and Solstad & Partners, and later became a consultant in his own firm. He started as a local representative at Tandberg Data ASA in 1991 and has held several significant positions within NITO. He is also a trained engineer with additional business education.
