Valentina Shulgina (b. January 22, 1922) was a Soviet military doctor and a lieutenant who served during World War II. She was the last living veteran of the Battle of Stalingrad. Born in Bekishevo, she graduated from Tomsk Medical School in 1942 and was mobilized to Stalingrad shortly after. Injured during the battle, she later participated in key operations including the Kursk Salient and the Battle of Berlin. After the war, she worked as an accountant in Abkhazia and wrote memoirs and poetry related to her experiences.
