Valeriya Martynivna Melashunas-Ferro was a Ukrainian Soviet ballet dancer and pedagogue, born on March 15, 1928, in Ananiev, Odessa Oblast. She was recognized as a People's Artist of Ukraine in 1993. Throughout her career, she made significant contributions to the art of ballet in Ukraine, both as a performer and educator, until her passing on February 7, 1996, in Kyiv.
