Vasily Petrovich Makarov (born 1946) is a Russian politician and medical professional. He served as a People's Deputy of the RF from 1990 to 1993, representing the 469th district of the Samara region, and was a member of the cultural commission of the Republic Council. Makarov graduated from Kuibyshev Medical Institute in 1969 and practiced as a rural physician, neurologist, and psychotherapist. He was the director of a medical-psychological center and has authored a method called 'Healing Sleep'. He also leads an international society focused on longevity.
