Vassily Efimovich Subbotin (February 7, 1921 – May 24, 2015) was a Soviet and Russian writer and poet. He served as a senior lieutenant during World War II and was a member of the VKP(b) since 1944. Subbotin was active in the literary community, joining the Soviet Writers' Union in 1951 and working with various publications. He published his first book of essays in 1948 and poetry in 1950. Throughout his life, he received numerous awards and was noted for his contributions to literature and culture.
