Vernon 'Vern' Tejas is an American mountain climber and guide, noted for holding the world record for summiting the Seven Summits consecutively. He was the first to solo summit many of the tallest peaks globally and was recognized in 2002 as one of the top fifty Alaskan athletes of the 20th century. In 2012, he was inducted into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame. In addition to his climbing achievements, Tejas plays the harmonica and guitar and currently resides in Greenwich Village, New York.
