Vida Žabot is a former Slovenian nun, writer, educator, psychologist, therapist, and publicist born in 1956. She attended Poljana Gymnasium and moved to Italy in 1977, where she studied philosophy and educational sciences in Rome, graduating in 1985, and later earned a degree in counseling psychology in 1990. She became a nun in 1983 but left the order in 2001. After opposing the church hierarchy during the Razkrižje affair, she gained media recognition and was named Slovenian of the Year in 1993.
